"I joined this wonderful group in 1982,  so count ‘em, 33 years! Mr.X and I had moved from Richmond and were looking for something new. We both fell in love with bbs harmonies. I started as a lead, moved to baritone when asked, but knew I was home when I switched to bass.I have watched the organization move from postiche and crinoline wearing Stepford wives to a vibrant and exciting showcase for women who love to sing and perform. What more can I say? I’m a lifer and glad to be so. I love my chorus."

"Chorus has been a life changer for me. I am so thrilled and honoured to be a small part of the big, beautiful sound that emanates from this group of women. I literally get chills. I leave rehearsal energized and centered. The women in this group have become my sisters and friends. We work together to produce sublimely beautiful sounds; sounds that sometimes literally move me to tears. Every day I sing with them, I grow and thrive. I am a better person for having joined this group."

"I've been a member for 30 years and have enjoyed every minute of the 4-part harmony singing and workshops and friendships with other women who like to sing. We are constantly challenged with new music and new ways of entertaining our audiences. If you are looking for quality singing and music education and FUN, then we are the group for you!"

"When I initially heard the chorus sing I was overwhelmed by how much I loved the barbershop sound. I am not outgoing but forced myself to walk into a situation where I didn’t know a soul and ask to sing. I couldn’t even be put off by the requirement to audition! I have been learning and growing with Sweet Adeline’s for 12 or 13 years, it fills a need in me nothing else can. I love this sisterhood of singers I’ve come to know and hope to be singing with them till I’m up there with a walker!"
